CALABAR – The action of a PDP governor paying December salary on the 1st of December has sparked jubilation among the state government workers. It’s early Christmas for Civil Servants in this state.
Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State yesterday, December 1 paid the December salary of all civil servants in the state, Brainnews NG reports.
The governor had promised to carry out the action during a retreat for political appointees at the Obudu Ranch Resort recently.
As reported by Brainnewsng.com Ayade had always paid the workers early since he assumed office in May 2015.
In May, salaries were paid on the first day to mark Workers’ Day.
While last month salaries were paid on November 15.
The governor however urged the workers to be prudent on how they spend their salary, promising them that he would be there for them n case they run into any financial difficulty before the end of January.
