President-Elect Donald Trump met with rapper Kanye West at Trump Tower today. The topic of discussion: life.
Trump and West stopped briefly before cameras as the president-elect called the rapper a "good man."
"We’ve been friends for a long time," Trump said. "We discussed life."
Asked whether he had any comments about his meeting with Trump, West said, "I just want to take a picture right now."
Before parting ways, Trump told the 39-year-old West, "You take care of yourself. I'll see you soon."West, who has floated a 2020 presidential bid, interrupted his concert in San Jose, California, last month to praise Trump.
“If I would’ve voted," Kanye told the audience, "I would have voted on Trump."
“Not only did I not vote, but there were a lot of things I actually liked about Trump’s campaign," he said. "His approach was f------ genius, because it worked."
He was hospitalized a few days later in Los Angeles, an official told ABC News, with one source saying at the time the rapper had been suffering from exhaustion and sleep deprivation, and went to the hospital voluntarily and was under the consultation of his physician.
A rep for the star has not responded to a request for comment.
West is not the first celebrity to visit the president-elect at Trump Tower. Actor and activist Leonardo DiCaprio met last week with Trump to discuss environmental issues
