Happy Birthday, Max! Mark Zuckerberg Shares Family Photo from Daughter’s Sweet Celebration
It’s fun to be 1!
On Wednesday, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg took to the popular social media site to share a photo from daughter Max‘s first birthday. In it, Zuckerberg and wife Dr. Priscilla Chan are holding their little girl while all three family members sport festive birthday hats amidst a background of balloons.
“I can’t believe it’s been a year! And she kissed me on the cheek for the first time yesterday,” the proud papa, 32, wrote next to the snap, adding a smiley-face emoji.
“Here’s to many more years of happiness and health for Max and all children around the world,” he added.
Though Max is only a year old, her dad has already begun instilling the importance of worldly knowledge in his daughter.
“Last night was Max’s first election. She’s got a lot of election nights ahead of her,” Zuckerberg captioned a Facebook photo he posted the day after Donald Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States, showing himself and Max watching TV as the results rolled on.
He added, “Holding Max, I thought about all the work ahead of us to create the world we want for our children. This work is bigger than any presidency and progress does not move in a straight line.”
It’s likely an extra sweet milestone for the couple, who tied the knot at their Palo Alto, California, home in 2012, considering the struggles they have shared in the past about their road to conception.
“And you have so many hopes and dreams for that child. And that drives me to want to work harder and invest now to make sure that the future is where it needs to be for all of our children.”
