Kano Pillars goalkeeper, David Obiazor is positive his side will not miss the podium dance at the end of the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
The Pyramid City side are currently observing a 10-day camping in Kaduna to put finishing touches for the football hostilities due to commence on Sunday, January 15.

Obiazor said his side are working round the clock to ensure their dream for a trophy filled season is achieved.
“We are working very hard towards a successful campaign in the upcoming NPFL.
“We are equally praying fervently too, for good luck in all our programmes for the coming football season.

“We understand one can achieve very little no matter how hard one works without some element of luck.
“We have lofty dreams for the upcoming season amongst which is to win the NPFL title.
“We equally want to win the Federation Cup trophy as well but the key for us is the NPFL title.
“We want a trophy filled season that is why we are doing everything humanly possible to prepare adequately for the challenges ahead.

“Of course, the first NPFL match against FC IfeanyiUbah is quite crucial as a good start will definitely affect the whole season’s campaign.
“The NPFL matchday 1 clash against FC IfeanyiUbah is certain to be tough but we believe in ourselves to overcome the hurdle.

“I think we will be ready for the challenge not only against FC IfeanyiUbah but the whole league season,” said the former El Kanemi Warriors and Heartland shot stopper
The former Nigerian champions will host the Anambra Warriors in next Saturday’s NPFL matchday 1 clash season’s opener at the Sanni Abacha Stadium in Kano.
