(CITAD) Visit Rahama Women Development Centre and High Level Women Advocates (HILWA) Bauchi (Photos)

In its efforts to promote the usage and access to Internet by Women in Northern Nigeria, the Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) today paid an advocacy visit to Rahama Women Development Centre and High Level Women Advocates (HILWA) Bauchi on overcoming gender digital exclusion.

 Hajiya Karimatu of HILWA commended CITAD 's effort in promoting the use of Internet and the bridging gap of gender digital divide in Northern Nigeria and also suggested CITAD to be organising programmes like a Focal Group Discussion in the local media using the local language to enable our women at home who are good listeners of the local media to know the importance and positive aspect of Internet. Both Rahama and HILWA appreciated the visit and are willing to collaborate with CITAD in creating awareness to our women Northern Nigerian.
