This Woman Was Attacked After Trying to Ignore Catcallers

A 19-year-old woman is the latest high-profile case of catcalling. According to the Evening Standard, Pagan Lilley Motlagh-Phillips says she and her 18-year-old brother were walking down a London street on June 6 when two men on a moped approached and the driver shouted at her, “Are you all right, darling?”

Motlagh-Phillips, who was strolling at Cherry Tree Walk in Rainham, says that she ignored the men, opting not to respond, but her silence further angered the driver, and according to her, he demanded a response. Her brother told the fellow to leave them alone, which made the driver threaten to run her and her brother over. Motlagh-Phillips said the man then drove down the road only to come back toward them. She pushed her brother out of the way, was hit by the bike, and was left unconscious after impact. The driver advanced in her direction and she says he then reversed over her. “This man took a moped and ran me over because I didn’t entertain his advances. I didn’t swear, I wasn’t abusive, but he ran me over in broad daylight,” she told BuzzFeed News. Motlagh-Phillips, who wound up at a nearby hospital with internal bruising, needed crutches after the incident.

5 Ways You Can Tell If You Are You Ready for Marriage?

Once you’ve been dating someone for a certain amount of time or reach a certain age, it may feel like every other person feels the need to ask when you’re going to get married. It can be more than annoying, especially when you’re not sure how to respond or how you even feel about marriage. No matter how much you love your significant other, there is no doubt that marriage is a big step and one that shouldn’t be done on a whim to simply subdue societal pressures. With divorce rates in the U.S. reaching 40 to 50%, successful marriages are becoming a true rarity.

The great news is if you’re truly honest with yourself you probably have a pretty good idea if your partner is “the one” (or one of “the ones”) and if, as a couple, you’re ready for marriage. The problem is that

Apple logs every iPhone user’s text message contacts (New leak claims)

Apple logs every iPhone user’s text message contacts, new leak claims
Apple likes to make boasts about how secure its Messages app is, but new revelations from The Intercept detail how Apple keeps a log of every iPhone user's texting contacts that they will readily share with law enforcement authorities when served with a court order.

Now this isn’t a Snowden level leak by any means, nor does it imply or suggest that Apple has access to the content of any privately sent messages, but in today’s age where user privacy is a hot-button issue, it can never hurt to be cognizant of what information might be shared with the police.

(Debate) Once A Cheater, Always A Cheater?

Once A Cheater, Always A Cheater? Marriage Therapists Weigh In
It may be time to retire the old cliche.
Can a cheater change his or her ways? Yes, if you give them a chance, marriage therapists say.

We’ve all heard the same, tired cliche about infidelity: “Once a cheater, always a cheater.”

Given how many of us are affected by infidelity ― twenty-one percent of married men and around 15 percent of married women have cheated on their spouses, according to the General Social Survey at the University of Chicago― it’s worth exploring our beliefs about cheaters and their capacity for change. Does “once a cheater, always a cheater” always ring true?

Below, psychologists and therapists who work with couples share their thoughts on whether or not an unfaithful spouse can change their ways.

“Once a cheater, always a cheaters” sells people short.

Kevin Owens Beats Seth Rollins At WWE Clash Of Champions (New Storylines)

WWE Clash of Champions featured Kevin Owens defeating Seth Rollins with the help of Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns defeating Rusev to win the US title as the highlights of what turned out to be a pretty underwhelming pay-per-view.

What needed to be a stellar show was a rather lackluster effort, one which came at a bad time for WWE because ratings for Monday Night Raw have been in a tailspin while SmackDown’s ratings tanked this week as well. Though WWE will undoubtedly pretend like TV ratings don’t matter, this is an alarming trend for a company that’s biggest source of revenue comes from its TV deals.

Something needs to be done to get WWE back on track with ratings that are trending in the right direction, and that probably didn’t happen at Clash of Champions.
