Rumors for the Day:
- John Cena is expected to be back on SmackDown Live soon and could be wrestling AJ Styles for the title at No Mercy, possibly also including Dean Ambrose, before leaving again to film American Grit.
- Despite continued teasing of something coming of it, there is no plan for Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz at any point.
- Not surprisingly, the idea behind The Miz and Dolph Ziggler's match open at Backlash was to mock the CM Punk fight from UFC 203.
- Speaking of Miz and Ziggler, there is apparently talk of the two doing a cage match.
- Billy Corgan and other officials from TNA were at the EVOLVE shows this weekend but there is nothing going on between the two companies.
