Super Falcons in form to down Banyana Banyana

The defending champions cruised through the group stage and will fancy their chances against Desiree Ellis’ ladies

Having bounced back from a 1-0 defeat by Cameroon to convincingly beat Egypt, South Africa will have to raise their level still further on Tuesday when they face Nigeria in the semi-final at the Stade Municipal de Limbe.

Desiree Ellis’ side have proven to be something of a mixed bag thus far, playing a 0-0 draw against Zimbabwe before their loss to the Indomitable Lioness and responding with a Andisiwe Mgcoyi -inspired 5-0 win over the north Africans.

For Nigeria, Asisat Oshoala will again be the woman of whom much will be expected from as she will lead her team's attack. She boasts of six goals in three games to be in pole position for the topscorer’s prize.

And South Africa’s Nompulelelo Nyandeni sure knows what to expect from the most successful women’s team in Africa.
