Michelle Obama has longed for the post-White House day when she can go shopping by herself at Target again and Ellen DeGeneres was happy to oblige with some warm-up exercises at a local CVS.

shopping at CVS – from the Coinstar kiosk to boxed wine and of course

DeGeneres was there to remind the first lady that life after the White House won’t always be easy. For example, the talk show host said, “You push the basket because nobody’s going to push it for you.”

"Michelle, what kind of cream do you need for that rash you were telling me about?" DeGeneres asked loudly.
Later, Obama fired back.
"It's like taking a 3-year-old to the store," she said.
