Check out The Rock's 20 upcoming movies (Photos)

Can you smell what The Rock is cooking? The Rock got 20 movies that we know of on his slate, and counting...  Do you have a movie you’re trying to make? Why not put Dwayne Johnson in it? It’s what everyone else seems to be doing, and it’s bound to earn you a fervent flurry of publicity. The man who it may not be acceptable to call ‘The Rock’ anymore has a whopping 17 films on his slate at the moment, though, so he may struggle to fit you in. But is there a movie star who's working harder right now? Just check this lot out ...  View As: One Page Slides THE DEFINITES "Baywatch" Currently in post-production, the cinematic Baywatch revival is another example of The Rock being injected in to bring new life to

Check out the list below (PHOTOS) :

1. "Baywatch"

Currently in post-production, the cinematic Baywatch revival is another example of The Rock being injected in to bring new life to an established franchise (see: Fast & Furious, The Mummy, G.I. Joe and Journey To The Centre Of The Earth. They don’t call him Franchise Viagra for nothing!).

The mighty Mr Johnson will appear alongside Zac Efron and his San Andreas co-star Alexandra Daddario. Horrible Bosses’ Seth Gordon directed the movie, and a comedic tone is expected. Probably some muscles, too. Baywatch is due in cinemas May 2017.

2. "Journey 3: From The Earth To The Moon"

From The Earth To The Moon. An American release date has been set for 16th June 2017, and Josh Hutcherson and Anna Colwell are expected to return alongside The Rock.

3. "Jumanji"
To be released on the 28th of July, 2017.Dwayne Johnson (of course), Jack Black and Kevin Hart will star in this re-imagining of the classic board-game-based movie. And recent rumours point towards incumbent Spider-Man Tom Holland joining the fray as well

4. "Moana"

Moana is a Disney animation all about a young navigator (voiced by Auli'i Cravalho), who sets sails in search of a fabled island. Dwayne Johnson portrays the legendary demi-god Maui, who joins Moana on her adventure. Ron Clements and John Musker directed this one, which reaches UK shores (arf again!) in December 2016.

4. "Rampage"
Set to shoot later this year, Rampage is the film adaptation of the classic 1986 arcade game of the same name (if you're unfamiliar, it's basically about monsters who trample cities while armed forces attempt to stop them. At the moment, it's unclear if Dwayne Johnson is playing a man or a mutated beast).

5. "San Andreas 2"

Director Brad Peyton, the producer Beau Flynn  and Dwanye Johnson all teamed up for a second San Andreas movie. Only Scriptwriter Carlton Cuse will not return, but most of the supporting cast are believed to be returning too. This time, the screenplay will come from Neil Widener and Gavin James.

6.“Die Hard In China”

From little China to actual China, Dwayne Johnson and director Rawson Marshall  Thurber reunited for a movie that is currently being described as “Die Hard in China” (The Rock Vs. insurmountable odds, against a Chinese backdrop, essentially). We assume it’ll get an actual title at some stage.

Thurber - who helmed Central Intelligence, the upcoming comedy featuring Johnson and Kevin Hart - is writing the script as well as directing. Universal are committed to distributing the movie.

9. "Alpha Squad Seven"

Alpha Squad Seven is believed to have franchise potential (of course it does, The Rock is in it), and Mr Johnson will star alongside someone else at the heart of the film. We don’t know who that person is yet, but the movie is a ‘two-hander’ apparently.

10. Fast n Furious 8

The eighth film in the Fast & Furious franchise – and the fourth one to feature The Rock – will see Dwayne Johnson sporting an impressive goatee (see above). This time, F Gary Gray of Straight Outta Compton will direct. We don’t know much about the plot at this stage. At a guess: it will involve cars.

“When you strip a man of all he has. All that’s important to him, you force him to return to his roots. And sometimes that’s a very dangerous and twisted place,” teased Mr Johnson on Instagram. Fast 8 will speed onto our screens (arf) in April 2017.
